INDIANAPOLIS — The Tennessee Titans (1-7) could do nothing against Jonathan Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts (7-1) in Week 8. Taylor had two rushing touchdowns and one receiving en route to a 38-14 massacre.

It is hard to believe that Tennessee is worse through eight games in one department than they were in 2024 when they finished 3-14 as the NFL’s worse team.

Titans are losing at a much greater rate than last season

Indianapolis beat the Titans down on Sunday by 24 points.

Tennessee was shutout by the Houston Texans 26-0. The Colts, in Week 3, dispatched them by 21. The week before that, the Los Angeles Rams whipped the Titans 33-19.

That’s four losses by at least 14 points, as many as Tennessee suffered through 17 games last season.

Tennessee already fired coach Brian Callahan after a Week 6 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Under interim coach Mike McCoy through two games, there is no discernible improvement. The Titans, in fact, have lost by 14 points or more four times this season.

That’s as many times as it happened all of last season.
