NASHVILLE – According to a new report from On3 Sports, Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders has "very strong interest" in becoming the next head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Sanders is, of course, the former coach and father of top NFL Draft prospect Shedeur Sanders. Shedeur is considered one of the top quarterback talents in the 2025 draft class and has a legitimate chance to land in Tennessee with the number one overall pick.

The Raiders fired Antonio Pierce after just one season as the full-time head coach. If Sanders ends up being the replacement, it could really shake things up for the Titans and give them another option in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Let's run with this hypothetical situation for a moment. Deion Sanders becomes the new head coach in Vegas. The Raiders are in need of a quarterback. While there's an outside chance they stick it out with Aidan O'Connell for another season, Sanders comes in with a ton of motivation to team up with his son. It could set up a trade between the Titans and Raiders.

I firmly believe that the best course of action for Tennessee is stick and picking a quarterback – preferably Sanders – with the number one overall pick. But another possibility would be signing a veteran quarterback and trading the pick to acquire a haul of future draft compensation.

Moving from 6th overall to 1st overall would require the Raiders to pay a ridiculously large price. But if Deion is the head coach, are they desperate enough to give the Titans something they can't refuse?

This is a situation to monitor. It's likely all noise. But if Deion jumps to the NFL, it really opens things up for Tennessee.
