In the NFL, coaching connections can make a massive difference when it comes to building a staff. That's the case for the Tennessee Titans new wide receivers coach.

The Titans are hiring former Chicago Bears wide receivers coach and passing game cooridantor Tyke Tolbert to be their WRs coach.

Brian Callahan coached alongside Tolbert with the Denver Broncos. They won the Super Bowl together in 2015.

This past season, Bears wideout D.J. Moore had a career year. He totaled 96 catches, 1,364 yards, and 8 touchdowns. The Titans will hope that Tolbert can help develop their wide receiver room that possesses some talent and could/should add more in the offseason.

In January, Tolbert was fired by the Bears, along with offensive coordinator Luke Getsy.

Tolbert is extremely experienced in the coaching field. He's been coaching football at the college level or higher since 1994. In 2003, he began his NFL coaching career with the Arizona Cardinals as their WRs coach.

The Bears wide receiver room was not the most talented unit, but they did make strides throughout 2023. It will be intriguing to see what Tolbert can do with the talent that the Titans get in the building.
