The Tennessee Titans fell to the San Francisco 49ers 37-24 on Sunday of Week 15. Star DT Jeffery Simmons was incredible once again, recording another sack, a handful of pressures, a forced fumble, and even catching a touchdown pass.

But while he was trying to put his miserable team on his back, thieves were breaking into his Nashville-area home.

Jeffery Simmons has home burglarized during road game

Simmons posted on his Instagram story in the wee hours of the morning on Monday about a break-in that he came home to the aftermath of. The Titans played in the afternoon window on Sunday in San Francisco, so their flight home didn’t get back until around 1am.

On a picture of a a living room, Simmons wrote “God is the greatest and I’m his son!! Whoever you are, just know that he sit high and look low. You’ll get what you deserve you [expletive] cowards!”

A second picture showed a shattered glass door and a sledgehammer on the ground, presumably left by the burglars. What a nice professional touch, leaving behind the evidence!

Simmons continued “lol bro this [expletive] was planned out… big ass house and yall hit one room? You knew exactly where my master room was?? Yea okayyyy smh…”

A third post on his Instagram story reveals security camera video labeled “patio” with two masked figures walking up to the back door, timestamped 7:30pm. Simmons captioned it “what if any of my family members was in the house? All that materialistic shit you can have but this is crazy!”

The Titans released this statement on the incident later Monday morning:

“Team security is actively working with Metro Nashville Police Department to recover items stolen from Jeff Simmons’ house. No residents were home during the burglary.”

Metro Nashville police have said that at least six suspects entered the residence after smashing out window glass, and multiple items were taken. The nature of the valuables that were stolen aren’t yet known.

This is just the latest recent instance of a star NFL player having their home broken into when criminals knew they were away for a game. Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were both burglarized in the fall of 2024. Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow had his house hit in December of last season as well. And Cleveland Browns rookie Shedeur Sanders has his house broken into last month during his NFL debut.
