NASHVILLE — Former Tennessee Titans defensive coordinator Shane Bowen has landed a new job in the NFL and is being hired as the defensive coordinator fo the New York Giants, according to multiple reports.

Bowen was the outside linebackers coach for the Titans before getting promoted to DC by Mike Vrabel for the 2021 season.

In 2021, the Titans' defense was 6th best in points against, but fell back to league average over the last couple seasons.

After a long search, the Giants and head coach Brian Daboll are now giving Bowen his next opportunity. And by the sound of tings, more former Titans coaches could be heading to New York with him.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the "Giants have begun lining up talks with Titans staffers who worked under (Bowen)." Former Titans outside linebackers coach Ryan Crow, safeties coach Scott Booker, and inside linebackers coach Bobby King are all names to keep an eye on for the Giants' staff.

This is a solid hire for the Giants and a deserved second chance for Bowen, who was hindered by the lack of talent on Tennessee's roster and many of his best defensive players getting injured during 2022 and 2023.
