There is still an obvious missing piece from the current list of Tennessee Titans Top 30 visits ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft
The Titans are missing something obvious with current Top 30 visits.
NASHVILLE – With the 2025 NFL Draft around the corner, NFL teams are in the process of meeting in person with the prospects that most pique their interest.
Top 30 visits are always a good way to get a feel for what prospects each team has their eye on and which prospects are in highest demand. The more of these visits that become public, the more information you gather about a team's approach.
For the Tennessee Titans, just over half (16) of their Top 30 visits have been publicly reported. Below is a list of all of these visits as well as the prospect rankings associated with each player according to the current consensus big board.
- QB Cam Ward, Miami – 1
- EDGE Abdul Carter, Penn State – 2
- CB/WR Travis Hunter, Colorado – 3
- QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado – 4
- OT/G Donovan Jackson, Ohio State – 37
- S Xavier Watts, Notre Dame – 51
- RB Kaleb Johnson, Iowa – 59
- DL TJ Sanders, South Carolina – 65
- WR Isaiah Bond, Texas – 70
- EDGE Femi Oladejo, UCLA – 74
- DT Omarr Norman-Lott, Tennessee – 83
- OT Charles Grant, Williams & Mary – 95
- WR Kyle Williams, Washington State – 98
- TE Terrance Ferguson, Oregon – 100
- WR Dont’e Thornton, Tennessee – 145
- DL Cam’Ron Jackson, Florida – 181
The missing piece
This list of names tells us a lot. There are some dark horse wide receivers included, a highly productive second-round running back prospect, and an FCS All-American offensive tackle. But there's one thing that stands out as being a missing piece. Where are all the second-round talents?
The Titans are hosting Top 30 visits with at least 10 prospects that are ranked somewhere between 35 and 103…Tennessee does not currently have any picks in that range. But only one of the prospects being hosted, Ohio State OT Donovan Jackson, is a legitimate contender to be selected at No. 35.
I know a trade down is a real possibility, maybe even likely, but the Titans should at least be looking into the players that could be drafted here.
Where are the Day 2 wide receivers? They should be meeting in person with Emeka Egbuka and Luther Burden. Where are the Day 2 edge rushers? Donovan Ezeiruaku, Nic Scourton, and Princely Umanmielen deserve a look as well. Wide receiver and edge rusher are the two biggest roster needs right now.
It only makes sense for the Titans ot be prepared if some of these guys are still on the board for them. I'd expect visits with these players, ro players of the same caliber, to be announced at some point. We know who the mid-round and late-round target could be. But we need some contenders to go at No. 35.
