Titans waste no time in taking next step in evaluation of quarterbacks Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders after the NFL Scouting Combine
Tennessee is going to spend as much time as possible with their top 4 options before free agency
The Tennessee Titans have a massive decision to make with the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and they're wasting no time getting to know their top options better after meeting with them briefly at the Scouting Combine last week.

Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com first reported that the Titans would be hosting all four of their options at the top of the draft in the two weeks between the Combine and the beginning Free Agency, which is the week of March 10th.
Miami QB Cam Ward, Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders, Penn State EDGE Abdul Carter, and Colorado CB/WR Travis Hunter will all be traveling to Nashville soon to spend the day with the Titans on official 30 Visits. Each team gets a 45 formal meeting with players of their choosing in Indianapolis during the Combine. Those meetings are just 18 minutes long, however, and teams use their 30 visits throughout the rest of the process to get to know key players on their board even better.
FOX's Jordan Schultz reported Sunday night that both QBs on the Titans list will be visiting with Tennessee this week.
I wrote at length about the biggest takeaway from a week of digging at the Combine, which is that I don't see the Titans sticking at #1 overall and not taking Cam Ward. He separated himself as the clear QB1 in the eyes of just about every team in the league during Combine week, and it become clear that he's likely going to be the 1st overall pick one way or another.
These visits will serve as the team's due diligence on each player before they make the seminal decision of their offseason. If Cam Ward is their guy, this meeting with him will be a big piece in confirming that.
Is their desire to knock out these four visits before free agency an indicator that they're wanting to be able to trade the pick within the next two weeks? Perhaps that's a part of it. There seems to be two windows in which a potential trade could come down: the next 10 or so days before Free Agency, or not until April once the Draft is nearly upon us.
As for these visits, one thing is for sure: they matter a ton to the Titans brass actually in charge of making the final decision. While they remain tape-informed and tape-driven, the mental makeup and "nervous system" of each player (particularly the quarterbacks) matters a significant amount as well. They won't take a guy who has what they're looking for in just one area or the other. They want the complete package.
