NASHVILLE – After Will Levis' third interception of the game was brought back for a touchdown in the third quarter of Titans-Bengals on Sunday's, Tennessee's coaching staff had finally seen enough.
Levis was benched for Mason Rudolph with the Titans trailing 31-14 in the second half. After weeks of progress, Levis reverted back to his old ways and turned the ball over four times on Sunday.
The Titans fans in the building were loud and clear with how they felt about that decision. As Rudolph jogged onto the field, Titans fans rose to their feet for a standing ovation.
Not a great sign for the future of Levis in Tennessee. It's never been more clear that the fanbase is ready to move on and find a new QB. A moment like we saw on Sunday usually signals the beginning of the end.
It was oddly reminiscent of moments when Malik Willis was booed every time he checked into the game. It's a relationship between a player and the fanbase that may not be salvageable.
The Titans are undoubtedly headed for a top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. But one of the biggest questions remaining is where Tennessee will fall in comparison to the rest of the NFL bottom feeders. Will the Titans be in a position to snag one of the top quarterbacks in the draft class?
