Before they were legends, they were rookies.
That’s the fantastic tagline of the video Fanatics released today. In it, a handful of the top stars from the 2025 NFL Draft were sat in from of a projector for a surprise message and gift from some of the best players in league history.
Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, Ashton Jeanty, Tetairoa McMillan, Tyler Warren, Matthew Golden, Jaxson Dart, Shedeur Sanders, and Will Howard were amongst those featured, shot presumably during Fanatics Rookie Premiere event back in May.
Each rookie was privately shown a recorded message from (mostly) some of the greatest players in history. Barry Sanders, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Jerry Rice, Joe Montana, Tim Brown, Eddie George, and Marcus Allen all had personal thoughts to share with one of the future stars of the league.
Current players such as Puka Nacua, Micah Parsons, Justin Herbert, Russell Wilson, and Mark Andrews sent a message to a rookie as well. Even 2nd year CB Cooper DeJean sent a message, which was an objectively funny choice on Panini’s part. But hey, he’s a Super Bowl Champion!
Tennessee Titans QB Cam Ward got a message from the GOAT himself, Tom Brady. Each message was surely longer than was featured in the edited video, but what we did hear Tom say to Cam was exciting enough:
“Hey Cam!… Welcome to the NFL my man… You’re gonna grow in ways you couldn’t even imagine, and I’m gonna be watching, and I’m always pulling for you.”
Ward was, of course, very appreciative of the gesture:
“That’s crazy, for the greatest player of all time to send me a video like that… I’m ready for the challenge.”
Each rookie also received a signed jersey from their veteran, something they’ll cherish as they each work to become the next generation NFL greats.

QB Cam Ward Shows Side Of Him We’ve Not Seen: What it means for rookie with big moment in joint practice and preseason upcoming
This was a day of sloppiness and responding poorly to adversity. And that starts at the top with QB Cam Ward, who for the first time in Tennessee, played “young” in my opinion.
