Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis is soaking up every ounce of information as he enters his first season as the team's full-time starter in 2024.

Levis, who will be playing for his second head coach in as many years, seems to be learning a lot in Brian Callahan's new system. The Titans took an offensive-minded approach when the team fired Mike Vrabel after a disappointing 2023 campaign, but Levis isn't forgetting lessons learned under Vrabel during his rookie season.

"One of my favorite things he ever said was, 'Don't pay attention to the people who text you after wins, pay attention to the people who text you after losses,'" Levis told the 3HL crew on 104.5 The Zone. "Know who your real people are and who's sticking [with] you through the good and bad times. I always look forward to seeing who's gonna be in my messages after a bad game opposed to a good game."

It's important for quarterbacks to never get too high or too low in a league as humbling as the NFL is. Levis remembered how his phone blew up after tossing four touchdowns in his NFL debut against the Atlanta Falcons. While that moment is one that Levis will never forget, he now takes notice to those who check in with him following games in which he might not have been at his best.

Playing quarterback in the NFL comes with a lot of pressure. But it's important for signal callers, especially those without much experience, to stay even keeled. It's easy to get caught up in the headlines and social media comments, but Levis knows as well as anybody how quickly fans and media can turn on a player.

Levis is an easy guy to root for. Although the national narratives surrounding Levis might not show it, he appears to maturing at a rapid rate. With that being said, the truth lies in the tape and Levis' film will be critiqued more than any Titan's in 2024.

Titans fans should hope that Levis' phone is constantly blowing up like it did on the Sunday before last Halloween. But no player is immune to a bad game. Success in the NFL is often determined by how players and teams respond to adversity. For Levis, that's when the wise words from his first head coach will be pivotal as he looks to become the face of the franchise in Tennessee.
