With the 2024 NFL Draft coming to an end, we finally have the full details of Aaron Rodgers' trade between the Green Bay Packers and the New York Jets. The deal was agreed to in 2023, but there was still a pick in 2024 going to the Packers.
It was a conditional first-round pick, but as Rodgers didn't reach 65% of the offensive snaps last year, it became a second — the 41st overall pick.
The Packers ended up trading down from 41 to 45, and getting one of the acquired picks to move up in later rounds, so the deal became slightly difficult to understand.
But here are the final details:
Jets got:
- QB Aaron Rodgers
- 2023 #15 – EDGE Will McDonald
- 2023 #204* – CB Jarrick Bernard-Converse
- 2023 #220* – TE Zack Kuntz
*The Packers initially sent pick 170 to the Jets, who traded down to get picks 204 and 220.
Packers got:
- 2023 #13 – EDGE Lukas Van Ness
- 2023 #42 – TE Luke Musgrave
- 2023 #207 – K Anders Carlson
- 2024 #45 – LB Edgerrin Cooper
- 2024 #111* – S Evan Williams
- 2024 #163** – C Jacob Monk
*The Packers used the 41st pick to trade down to 45, acquiring picks 168 and 190. After that, they packaged pick 190 to move up from 126 to 111.
**Then, they packaged pick 168 with a sixth-rounder to move up to pick 163.
