The relationship between Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce is beyond special.
Whether it's on the field or off the field, the two prove over and over again that they are very close and have the ultimate trust in each other.
So, during an exclusive interview with ESPN's Chris Berman that was played on Countdown prior to the Kansas City Chiefs' Divisional Round game against the Houston Texans, Kelce took time to praise his quarterback.
"It's been such a pleasure. The guy is, he's every bit of a superstar off the field as he is on the field. I consider him family," Kelce said. "There's one common denominator from the Chiefs my entire career, and that's Andy Reid. But this thing really took off when Pat Mahomes got here, and I know everybody knows that.
"What I see in the building is leadership, his ability to relate to everybody and motivate everybody and be accountable. It's unique. And it's like nothing else."
The two have had quite the run, playing together for eight season. And with that, they have won three Super Bowls, and are now looking for their fourth.
Mahomes is regarded as one of the top quarterbacks in NFL history, with many comparing him to Tom Brady. But, in Kelce's mind, there can only be one quarterback at No. 1 .
"He's the greatest to every do it," Kelce said of Mahomes. "And you can't change my mind otherwise. And like I said, he's every great of a person off the field as he is on the field."
