The wait is over, and Week 1 is finally here. The Washington Commanders are starting the season with a crucial NFC East matchup against the New York Giants. If your heart isn’t racing yet, then go see a doctor.

It’s hard to call a Week 1 game a must-win game, but this one is, with a tougher schedule for the Commanders this season, and every NFC win counts when playoff time comes around.

The big stage is set for the Commanders and Giants showdown, and it’s time to get familiar with where to watch the game and when.

National TV Spot

The NFL wasted no time putting franchise quarterback Jayden Daniels in the spotlight, and the Commanders-Giants matchup will be televised on FOX at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. We have a stacked broadcast team as well, with Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady in the booth, with Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi on the sideline.

We know that Brady is a big fan of Daniels, and it makes the game a lot more enjoyable hearing the play-by-play from someone of Brady’s caliber, especially on how well Daniels is performing.

Now, if you can’t watch it on FOX, YouTube TV has the Sunday Ticket, where you can watch every single NFL game this season, even when you’re out of market.

Quick Notes on the Matchup

The Commanders are hosting the Giants to start the season for the fourth season in franchise history, and the Commanders are 2-1 in the previous three matchups. A Commanders win would make this the first time Washington has beaten the Giants three straight times since 1998-2000, after sweeping them last year. The home-field advantage was real for the Commanders last year after going 7-2 at home, which was the most home wins since 1991.

Yes, the Commanders swept the Giants last season, but it’s always one of the more stressful games every season. The Giants are much improved, but so are the Commanders. Jayden Daniels went 38 for 51 for 435 passing yards, two touchdowns through the air, no interceptions, and added 79 yards on the ground. The Commanders won both games by a slim margin of eight total points, and they have to start fast.

Malik Nabers will try to get his revenge against his best friend and former teammate Jayden Daniels, and the Commanders and Giants get the big stage on FOX for the early game slate on Sunday.
