Injury Observations
The Commanders missing left tackle Laremy Tunsil is a huge loss for the offense as the team’s best player right now. It looked like Tunsil was making his way back to play after going from a DNP to a limited participant, but it wasn’t enough time with the short week though. Hopefully he will be back for the Cowboys game on Christmas Day. The Eagles will be ready to pin their ears back and test out Brandon Coleman, who is getting a tough test on Saturday.
Luckily, LB Bobby Wagner was back at practice and good to go. The Commanders will also be seeing free agent Drake Jackson making his debut in Washington. Eddie Goldston and Colson Yankoff are also out, while Johnny Newton and Jonathan Jones are questionable.
Dan Quinn needs to play the younger guys regardless, and Ben Sinnott and Jordan Magee need to see an increase in their snap counts with the injuries. Running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. is also back, so it’ll be interesteing to see how Kliff Kingsbury splits up the carries after Bill Croskey-Merritt had a bounce-back game last week.
Eagles’ Injuries
The Eagles have their own injury concerns with two of their best players in the trenches. They announced on Thursday that they will be without both Lane Johnson and Jalen Carter against the Commanders.
A win against Washington helps lock in the NFC East for the the Eagles, while a loss keeps the Dallas Cowboys barely hanging to hope.
