The Commanders have one player who deserves to be at the Pro Bowl despite the team’s record, and fans can vote now
Fans can help Laremy Tunsil make it to his sixth Pro Bowl.
The Washington Commanders are looking to finish the season strong in their final six games, and they finally got their bye week to refresh.
It’s that time of the year when teams are fighting for playoff seeding and individual accolades, which the Commanders aren’t really in a position right now at 3-8. They can, however, reward one of the best players on the team who has been lights out every single week.
Heading into December, the NFL opens up the voting for the Pro Bowl, and you can help get left tackle Laremy Tunsil there with voting now open.
Laremy Tunsil deserves to be at the Pro Bowl this year
As bad as the Commanders have been this season, Tunsil has shown up as a bright spot on the roster every week, and is likely the only player that should be in the Pro Bowl for Washington. The 2026 Pro Bowl Games will be taking place during the week of the Super Bowl on February 3rd in San Francisco, California. Voting has officially opened for fans to make their claims for top players on their team until December 15th.
There’s no doubt it’s been a nightmare season for the Commanders, but trading for Tunsil was the best offseason move by Adam Peters, and he deserves every vote he gets. Tunsil is a five-time Pro Bowler, and it should be six if fans get active on voting, as they’ve shown in the past.
Laremy Tunsil has been a top offensive tackle in the NFL this season
Trading for Tunsil was a move that absolutely nobody saw coming this offseason, but it was the best move Peters could’ve made. It’s not often you see a top-5 offensive tackle become available for a trade, but Tunsil was, and Peters jumped on the opportunity. Since coming to the Commanders, Tunsil has been a stonewall at left tackle, with only one sack and two hits allowed.
He’s also been a great mentor to the rookie right tackle Josh Conerly Jr, so he’s making an impact now and for the future. Protecting Jayden Daniels is the top goal for this team moving forward, so Tunsil will likely get a new contract when the season ends. He already reworked his contract which made it easier for a new deal to get done, and that’s been the goal since the Commanders traded for him.
But for now, the main goal is to keep dominating every week, and earn the right to his sixth Pro Bowl, which you can help with by voting on NFL.com or by posting on X with his first and last name and the hashtag listed in the tweet above.
