The Commanders are set to reveal new uniforms on April 15th
We’ve all heard of the rumors and speculation about the Commanders getting new uniforms, but we can finally put that to rest after the team dropped a teaser video stating that they’ll unveil new uniforms on April 15th.
Now that it’s finally been confirmed, we can all speculate on what the new uniforms will be. Will the Commanders drop new primary uniforms and replace the original uniforms from the rebrand? Are they finally bringing back the Super Bowl Era uniforms full-time and adding the burgundy ones? We still have a lot of questions that need answers.
Which uniforms the Commanders are releasing are still unknown
We saw the Commanders bring back their throwback white Super Bowl Era uniforms last season for select games, and they were a huge hit, despite the nightmare of a season.
There’s a high chance that these become their primary uniforms with some slight changes, like turning the helmets from matte to glossy again. We also didn’t see the burgundy version of the uniform, so that could be in the rollout as well.
Another rumor is that the black uniforms could receive a makeover, which is also needed to happen. There’s a chance the Commanders could also roll out new alternative uniforms, which the team has been hinting at in social media posts since the season ended.
The Commanders have had a new Greek-Roman theme with a shield in several posts, and even more of the spear as well. There’s a chance they could redo the throwback spear uniforms as well, and use those as the new alternatives.
There are still a lot of questions about what we’re going to see, but now we have an official date of April 15th, and fans are excited to move on from those old uniforms finally. Then, we get to see who they draft to rock those uniforms later in the month.
