How to watch the Commanders take on the Packers in a must-see NFC showdown on Thursday Night Football with game notes
The must-see game of the week is on primetime.
It’s a short week for the Washington Commanders after starting the season with a win against the New York Giants, and they’re traveling to the Green Bay Packers for a big-time NFC matchup.
This is the first of five true primetime games scheduled for the Commanders this season, and that’s not counting the games on Christmas Day, the International game in Madrid, Spain, and the games that can be flexed at the end of the year.
The Commanders will have a lot of eyes on Jayden Daniels and company this season, and they can make a huge statement on Thursday Night Football against the Packers.
Primetime television for Jayden Daniels

The Thursday Night Football game will be televised only on Amazon Prime Video at 8:15 p.m. ET. The NFC showdown includes veterans Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit in the booth calling the game, with Kaylee Hartung on the sidelines reporting.
The team has to show up and make a statement with the world watching after the Packers embarrassed the Detroit Lions at home on Sunday. The Packers shook the entire league after trading for All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons, and they look like serious Super Bowl contenders this season.
Their defense held Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery to a combined 44 yards on the ground, which is insane. The Commanders’ offense will have its hands full, and they need to knock off all the remaining rust.
