Marshon Lattimore's first game as a Washington Commander is a highly anticipated one and a big reason why is because he's yet to appear in the burgundy and gold since Adam Peters traded for him back on November 6.

Dan Quinn's Monday update was by far the most encouraging one, yet. From what it sounds like, Lattimore should be able to participate fully in Wednesday's practice. That would officially put him on track to play against his former team, the New Orleans Saints, on Sunday.

"Last week went good. [He did] a lot of top speed running. [He's] hitting all the markers as we're moving along [and] he was able to participate in the work that we did today," Quinn told reporters Monday. "As we're getting into practice, we're looking forward to getting him [some] regular work with practice [and] with the guys, and then we'll take that all the way through the week.

"But we're very encouraged about all the work that he and the medical team have put in. He's hitting all the steps along the way. And look forward to doing that more in practice this week as well."

Dan Quinn says Marshon Lattimore is a full go in Wednesday's practice

Sure enough, Lattimore is a full-go on Wednesday, per Quinn.

"Marshon is also fully participating in practice," Quinn told reporters after mentioning starting right tackle Andrew Wylie was also fully cleared from his concussion and is a full participant in practice. "… Marshon certainly trended in the right direction for us to play. And so we'll take it through the whole week. We're not going to miss one step with him and the practicing and hitting all the markers. So for trends that way, [it's] good."

Lattimore will start on the outside, but it remains to be seen if he's moved around on defense, follows the opposition's top wideout, or stays on one side of the field. Another interesting factor will be rookie Mike Sainristil's role once Lattimore is playing. Sainristil is better suited for nickel, but had been playing pretty well on the outside, recently. He'll likely be moved back inside, but Quinn and co. aren't giving anything away when it comes to that thought.

Either way, it'll be a huge boost for a scrappy Commanders defense if Lattimore plays on Sunday and it'll certainly help their final attempt at a playoff run.

Update: Lattimore practiced in full all week and will make his debut on Sunday against the Saints. Dan Quinn made that official when spoke with reporters on Friday.
