ESPN's Michael Wilbon is definitely not a fan of Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin.

The Pardon the Interruption host went on quite the rant this week while discussing the upcoming Ole Miss vs Alabama game (October 2).

Wilbon picked Alabama to win the game and it's not because the Crimson Tide are the No. 1 team in the country. He picked Bama because he thinks Kiffin is a "clown" and someone who has been an "embarrassment" at multiple programs.

Here's video of Wilbon's rant.

And here's Kiffin's response.

I can understand the vitriol for Kiffin from Tennessee Vols fans (though oddly enough there's a portion of the UT fan base that was clamoring for Kiffin to return to Rocky Top during the last two coaching searches). Kiffin left the Tennessee football program in a bad spot in early 2010 when he left UT after one season for the USC job.

Kiffin was fired at USC in 2013 after struggling with a talented team (partially due to reduced scholarships from the Pete Carroll era). He then served as the offensive coordinator at Alabama where he helped the Crimson Tide win a national championship.

Kiffin left Alabama to become the head coach at Florida Atlantic for three seasons before taking over at Ole Miss after the 2019 season.

It seems like Kiffin has done a good job of rehabbing his image since leaving Tennessee and getting fired at USC. I'm not sure why Wilbon has so much anger toward Kiffin, but it's clear he's not going to be rooting for the Ole Miss head coach anytime soon.
