You know the news by now. Jimmy Graham is back with the New Orleans Saints as one of their tight end options. He'll be on the field – not on the sidelines. That surprised many fans, and Saints star safety Tyrann Mathieu was surprised by that as well.

When he first saw Graham at the team facility, Mathieu thought that Graham was joining the coaching staff. Graham didn't play in the NFL last year. Alas, that's not the case. Head coach Dennis Allen says that the team has a plan in place for a certain role for Graham.

For Graham, 36, New Orleans was the only place the the was willing to play this season. For the Saints, they hope that he can be a solid red-zone option for their offense once again.

Mathieu's reaction to seeing Graham was shared by most folks on social media. When the team's Twitter account posted a picture of Graham signing a contract, many thought that it was a one-day deal for him to retire with the Saints. That was incorrect. He believes that he has some good football left in the tank, and the Saints do, too. We'll see how it goes for both sides.
