It took one (1) whole game for A.J. Brown to break his first franchise record with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Not only did Brown tie a career-high with 155 receiving yards in the Eagles’ Week 1 win over the Detroit Lions, but he cracked the Birds’ history books as well.

Brown’s 155 yards are the most ever by an Eagles player in their debut. He surpassed Donté Stallworth’s 141 yards in his team debut in 2006.

Only two receivers in the last 30 years have recorded more receiving yards in their team debuts, per ESPN Stats and Information.

Anquan Boldin had 208 yards in his first game with the 49ers, which came on Monday Night Football in 2013. Randy Moss totaled 183 receiving yards in his debut with the New England Patriots in 2007.

That’s some pretty damn good company.

First impressions are everything, and Brown’s certainly did not disappoint.

Of note, Mike Quick holds the Eagles’ single-season receiving record with a 1,409-yard season in 1983. With a few more performances like Sunday, Brown could contend for a record that has spanned 39 years.
