Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown loves playing in Philly, but that love might be conditional.
Brown appeared on the "Raw Room" podcast this week and he made it clear that he wants the Eagles to pay quarterback Jalen Hurts.
And if Philly doesn't pay Hurts, Brown wants to go wherever Hurts goes.
Brown made sure that Eagles general manager Howie Roseman got the message.
"I love Philly…[if] you do not pay this man, then just ship me off wherever he's fixing to go," said Brown. "So you talk about pressure, Howie get it done."
The Eagles are obviously going to pay Hurts. In fact, a recent report from the Boston Globe's Ben Volin suggested that a deal could get done before the combine (which starts later this month).
Brown obviously loves being in Philadelphia. He was just having some fun on a podcast. I wouldn't read too much into his comments. I think we all know that if the Eagles failed to extend Hurts, then of course there would be some major problems in Philly. But I don't think anyone expects that to happen.
The Eagles are going to make sure they keep the Hurts/Brown connection together. The last thing they want to see is the duo lighting up the NFL in anything other than a Philadelphia uniform.
