The Philadelphia Eagles had some news pop up on Monday that they may not like, and who could blame them?

This year has been their year, but the end of the season hasn't gone quite the way I'm sure the Eagles would have liked, in a few different ways.

Let's start with Jalen Hurts getting injured and having to miss the game against their biggest rivals the Dallas Cowboys. They end up losing that game, a game that would have essentially won them the division.

Then, we later find out on Monday that star offensive tackle, and probably the best in the league, Lane Johnson was hurt pretty significantly.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the All-Pro right tackle has a torn tendon in the abdominal area, and will miss the remainder of the regular season, but could be back for the playoffs. There is also word that he will likely need surgery in the offseason.

The Eagles may have dodged a bullet with it not being as bad as we initially thought, but they also now have to put more players at risk next Sunday because they couldn't close the deal out.
