Conflicting reports have emerged on the Philadelphia Eagles' rumored locker room problems from the 2023 season.

On Tuesday, FOX Sports' Craig Carton went viral for saying he knew why the Eagles fell apart this past  season but couldn't come out and directly say it.

“I can tell you that it is a problem that would splinter any group of men," Carton said on FS1's The Carton Show. "Any group of men. It is a real, significant problem and it cannot be fixed … I’m not gonna tell you any more than that. But I know what the problem was, I know they’re trying to fix it. And I don’t think it can be fixed. So it will be very interesting to see if a high-profile player is no longer with the Eagles going into this season.”

There was trouble stirring around star wideout A.J. Brown this past year, though he tried to downplay it. So, Carton could be talking about Brown but there's also reason to believe he could be talking about quarterback Jalen Hurts, who appeared to be unhappy throughout the season as well.

However, ESPN's NFL insider Adam Schefter shut down Carton's "report" on Wednesday morning with what he said during an appearance on 97.5's The John Kincade Show.

"I texted someone in the organization yesterday, and the text I got back was, 'None of that 'S' happened," Schefter said.

Whatever happened during the season we'll never truly know, but for a team to drop a 10-1 start to the year, it's hard to believe that nothing was happening in that locker room.
