Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and top wide receiver A.J. Brown shared, what had looked like, a heated exchange during Thursday night's 34-28 win over the Minnesota Vikings that head coach Nick Sirianni had to break up.

Prior to the exchange, Brown had been targeted just three times. And then after the blow-up, Hurts threw the ball in Brown's direction three more times, so it was easy for anyone to assume that Brown was upset over his lack of targets

However, according to both players, the situation was taken way out of context.

"Y'all talked about it and made it a big deal when it wasn't," Hurts said after the game. "That's always going to be my guy. We're all great competitors and we all want to help the team win. Nothing's going to change with that and he's going to continue to put his best foot forward to help the team."

Brown reiterated on Thursday that there was no beef between them and that they were just having a discussion.

"The sideline discussion, I want you all to know that’s what it was, a discussion,” Brown said, via The Philadelphia Inquirer's Josh Tolentino. “It’s a game that we both love and I want everybody to understand that sometimes emotions are high and that’s kind of what happened. That doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world. That doesn’t mean I’m beefing with Jalen. And no, it was not about targets. I’m sure everybody thought that because he threw me the ball three times in a row afterward. But no, I was not over there discussing targets. It was about something that happened earlier and we were having a discussion about it.”

Brown also explained why he neglected to speak to the media after the game.

"I know everybody took that out of context, but it's not a big deal, me and him are still on the same page, we're still growing, we're still trying to become great and get wins most importantly.

"The reason I left after the game is because my emotion was high, so I had to remove myself. Because I know [the media] wants a story and you all are doing your job … but I just had to clear my mind before [talking]."

The Eagles replied heavily on the run game against Minnesota, running the ball 48 times to just 23 passes.

Brown finished the Thursday night win with four catches for 29 yards on six targets.

The Eagles will look for their third-straight win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football.
