The Philadelphia Eagles' magical season continued on Sunday with their 31-7 win over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game.

Philly will play in the Super Bowl for the second time in five years as a result of their dominant win over the 49ers.

The Eagles' win, however, might have come with a key loss.

Philadelphia Pro Bowl guard Landon Dickerson had to leave the win against San Francisco after injuring his elbow late in the game. He was replaced by Andre Dillard.

The offensive line position isn't glamorous, but it's extremely important. And it's one of the biggest reasons why the Eagles have performed at such a high level this season.

Dickerson, who attended the same high school (South Caldwell in North Carolina) as country music superstar Eric Church and former World Series MVP Madison Bumgarner, is one of the best guards in the league. And not having him for the Super Bowl would obviously be a massive loss for Philadelphia.

Fortunately, he has a full two weeks to get healthy before the Super Bowl.

But that optimistic take should come with a warning: We don't know exactly how serious Dickerson's injury is just yet. It'll certainly be something to monitor in the coming days as the Eagles turn the page from winning the NFC to preparing for either the Kansas City Chiefs or the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl.
