NFL teams across the league wrapped up this week on a high note with the latest news drop.

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the league officially announced that the 2024 Salary Cap will be $255.4 million per club with another $75 million per team for player benefits.

Rapoport also wrote in his report that the "unprecedented $30 million increase per club in this year’s Salary Cap is the result of the full repayment of all amounts advanced by the clubs and deferred by the players during the Covid pandemic as well as an extraordinary increase in media revenue for the 2024 season."

The jump in media revenue that Rapoport mentioned may or may not have to do with Taylor Swift bringing in many new NFL fans — aka "Swifties".

But the very important takeaway from this exciting news is that the Philadelphia Eagles will have more money to spend.

With the NFL's Salary Cap adjustment, the Eagles currently have $32.1 million in cap space (via Over the Cap).

The Eagles could have a chance to potentially nearly double their cap space by making the following moves, per Pro Football Network's Anthony DiBona

  • Release safety Kevin Byard (saves $13 million)
  • Extend linebacker Haason Reddick (saves $11.8 million)
  • Extend wide receiver DeVonta Smith (saves $1.8 million)
  • Extend guard Landon Dickerson (saves $600,000)

Happy Friday Eagles fans!
