The Philadelphia Eagles won their last games against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but it was almost going to get really bad.

The Eagles were in danger of losing one of their best offensive linemen in Jordan Mailata, as he exited the game on Sunday with a shoulder injury.

There wasn't a whole lot of news on him until Thursday, as we have now learned that Mailata is day-to-day.

In the locker room on Thursday, he was talking to the press. When he was asked about the injury, he told reporters that he "dodged a bullet," with the shoulder injury.

Mailata also said one of his goals this year was to play every game. He followed that up by saying “I want to be like Jason Kelce,” and said he could still play on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

Had the injury been more serious than it appears to be, it could have been really bad for the Eagles. Mailata is a big reason the Eagles have been considered to have the best offensive line in all of football.

In Week 4 when Mailata went out, we saw backup Jeff Driscoll backup Mailata. He did okay, but he is definitely not Mailata. We could see Driscoll on Sunday.
