At this point, the 2023 NFL Draft has shown us one thing above all others; the Philadelphia Eagles have the best front office in the NFL.
Can anyone even argue it at this point? Even the strongest Cowboys fan on the planet should be able to see just how unfair an advantage their rival has with such a strong general manager and front office staff.
Now, to be fair, drafting the entire Georgia defense sounds like an easy strategy on its face, but one has to ask why no other teams do this when it seems so simple to Philly.
Who cares? If the rest of the league wants to let one of the best teams in the game get better, let them. That appears to be what happened when all of the other teams passed on edge Nolan Smith. The Eagles weren't going to make the same mistake.
Smith is an athletic freak that figures to be a strong rotational piece for one of the best defenses in football with the obvious upside of developing into a starter quickly.
The Eagles know how to find and then develop talent. One has to think that a pick like this is going to work out very well for the team that fell short of the Super Bowl in the 2022 season, and how do you bet on that happening again when this franchise is so great at finding talent?
Nolan Smith is an absolute steal for the Eagles so late in the draft. Look at this move as a huge catalyst for why the Eagles are going to dominate their opponents again in 2023.
