Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson couldn’t even enjoy his team’s NFC Divisional Round win for 48 hours before a personal disaster struck.
Gardner-Johnson, who finished the season with a league-leading six interceptions, became a fan favorite after coming over from the New Orleans Saints in the offseason. Keep in mind, Gardner-Johnson needed just 12 games to finish atop the NFL’s interceptions throne.
One would think Gardner-Johnson would be able to walk around the city of Philadelphia as a made man after helping the Eagles march on to the NFC Championship Game. Unofrutnately, that was not the case.
Gardner-Johnson broadcasted on his Instagram Live story, revealing his car had been stolen.
“I know exactly who took my car,” Gardner-Johnson said. “I know exactly who stole my (expletive). Don’t worry about it, we got y’all on camera. That’s how y’all getting down in Philly after a win?”

It’s a disappointing circumstance for a p[layer who has done nothing short of give his all to the city. Hopefully Gardner-Johnson’s car is recovered and his focus can shift to the upcoming matchup with the San Francisco 49ers.
