As we all know, the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been dealing with an injury, and there are thoughts that that could affect them in their first playoff game of the year.
Hurts was injured in Week 15 against the Chicago Bears after he was slammed to the ground on his shoulder during a sack. He then missed the next two games, which the Eagles lost with backup Gardner Minshew, but returned in Week 18.
In Week 18 the Eagles played the same opponent they will play this weekend. The New York Giants rested their starters in Week 18 as they already clinched their spot, and somehow the Eagles still played badly and Hurts definitely did not look like himself.
On Tuesday head coach Nick Sirianni helped tell how Hurts was doing after having a full week to recover even more given that the Eagles were the number one seed with the bye week.
"He's better today than he was two weeks ago. He's continuing to get better and he feels good," Sirianni told reporters.
Hopefully Hurts is a lot better than he was. Just think, if he played like that against a bunch of backups, what will happen when they play the Giants starters and he isn't 100%?
It could get ugly, to be honest. And, looking at how the Giants handled the Vikings, they are on a roll right now.
