In Week 3 on Monday Night Football, we watched Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts breathe some life into the struggling passing game, but in Sunday's win over the Washington Commanders, we saw Hurts at his best.

Hurts went 25-of-37 for 319 yards with two touchdowns and threw zero interceptions.

It was his best game of the 2023 season, according to the stat sheet and Eagles' head coach Nick Sirianni.

"I thought he was clutch," Nick Sirianni said of Hurts after the game. "And sometimes in quarterback stats and all these different things you can override anything that’s going on with a quarterback when they make plays when the play’s needed, right?

"I thought that’s what he did today. We needed a completion on that third and forever, and he got a completion. We needed a touchdown at the end of the game, and he got the touchdown. So just clutch. That’s where I really felt."

There were several clutch moments from Hurts, including a 28-yard go-ahead touchdown to A.J. Brown late in the fourth quarter to give the Eagles a 31-24 lead.

But where he really came in clutch for the Eagles was in overtime when he was flagged for intentional grounding.

He responded by tossing a 9-yard completed pass to wideout DeVonta Smith, which ultimately set Jake Elliott up for his 54-yard field goal to beat the Commanders, 34-31.

"I think it was his best game this year," Sirianni said. "I have to watch it and see everything. But I thought it was his best game this year."
