Jalen Hurts is on tap to work with his fourth quarterbacks coach.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Philadelphia Eagles are expected to hire Doug Nussmeier as their next QB coach.

Fowler adds that Nussmeier has ties to Eagles new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, having worked closely with him at the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Chargers.

Nussmeier, 53, spent last fall coaching Justin Herbert in LA. Herbert finished 2023 with a 93.2 passer rating while throwing for 3,134 yards, 20 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Before joining the Chargers, he was with Moore in Dallas coaching Dak Prescott. He also coached the Cowboys' tight ends for two seasons.

A former quarterback himself, Nussmeier played college ball at Idaho and entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick by the New Orleans Saints in 1994.

Nussmeier will replace Alex Tanney and be tasked with getting Hurts back to his 2022 regular-season form.
