The Philadelphia Eagles have announced their Week 5 inactives list against the Los Angeles Rams.

The following players will not suit up for the Birds on Sunday afternoon:

  • DT Fletcher Cox
  • DT Marlon Tuipulotu
  • S Sydney Brown
  • QB Tanner McKee
  • RB Rashaad Penny
  • TE Albert Okwuegbunam

Fletcher Cox (back) and Tuipulotu (triceps) were ruled out Friday after not practicing all week.

While it's overall bad news for the Eagles defense, it's good news for rookie defensive tackle Jalen Carter.

Carter has been an absolute monster through the first four weeks of the season, despite playing less than 50 percent of the defensive snaps. The Eagles will now have no choice on Sunday but to give him more reps against LA, so you can expect a big day from the Eagles' 2023 first-round pick.

In addition to Carter, rookie defensive tackle Mojo Ojomo is active and expected to make his NFL debut. The same goes for rookie guard Tyler Steen.

Penny was added to the injury report on Saturday with an illness and Brown is still battling a hamstring injury.

Newly signed veteran cornerback Bradley Roby is set to make his debut for the Eagles in the slot.
