The Philadelphia Eagles are set to face the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football, but starting cornerback Darius Slay will not be available.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Slay underwent arthroscopic knee surgery earlier this week, which means he will miss Week 15's matchup in Seattle.

Schefter added that the five-time Pro Bowler is expected to make his return before the regular season is over.

The news of Slay is not too surprising since Slay has been on the Eagles' injury report for two weeks because of his knee, causing him to miss practice and defensive snaps.

In the meantime, Slay's absence is a huge loss for the Eagles' pass defense which has struggled all season and currently ranks 28th in the league.

Slay has logged 57 tackles, 15 passes defensed and two interceptions in 2023 so far.

The Eagles will turn to veteran corner Bradley Roby and rookie Kelee Ringo to fill Slay's void.
