Eagles to retain longtime veteran Brandon Graham ahead of NFL free agency
Philadelphia Eagles longtime center Jason Kelce may be throwing in the towel but veteran defensive end Brandon Graham doesn’t plan to just yet.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Graham and the Eagles have a "mutual" interest in coming to terms on a new deal ahead of NFL free agency, though no agreement has been made yet.
This is not too surprising considering Graham was open about wanting to return for a 15th season following the Eagles' 2023 playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
"I want to," Graham said after the game when asked if he wanted to play in 2024. "Whatever it be. It'll be my farewell tour next year. You know, I'm saying if the Eagles want me to do it one more time, I would love to be here because I know we have something special."
Graham, 35, was active for all 17 games last season, however, he was on a snap count and did not start. But with the little action he did see, he registered three sacks and six QB hits.
Besides what Graham contributed on the field, he also brings a lot of energy and leadership to the locker room off the field, which is what the Eagles will need next season if Kelce and Fletcher Cox won't be back.
