Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts powered through a knee injury in Week 7's win against the Miami Dolphins.
Despite running with a limp, Hurts managed 23 of 31 pass attempts for 279 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, while also adding 21 rushing yards and another touchdown to lead the Eagles to a 31-17 victory.
When questioned by reporters after the game, Hurts downplayed his injury saying that he will "be fine."
The question that remains now is, 'Will Hurts play against the Washington Commanders in Week 8?'
Hurts didn't have much to say about his knee during Wednesday's press conference other than that he's taking it "day by day."
"Things happen, that's just a part of the game," Hurts said. "I've already said that it did happen in the game. So, it's just something that we're dealing with day by day. Taking it one day at a time."
Hurts then asked himself what's it like playing with a banged-up knee.
"You're just trying to find ways to win," he said.
This isn't the first time that Hurts has played through an injury. He played through Super Bowl LVII with shoulder pain.
"I don't want to make it something bigger than it is," he said. "I think it's something that comes with every player in this league. Things happen and you find ways to overcome them."
The Eagles will release their official injury report later this afternoon, but for now, Hurts will play on Sunday.
“We’re confident he’ll be ready to go," head coach Nick Sirianni said.
