The Philadelphia Eagles met with former Indianapolis Colts linebacker Shaquille Leonard on Wednesday, however, a deal was not made.

According to multiple reports, the All-Pro defender will take the next few days to make his decision after meeting with both the Dallas Cowboys and Eagles over the last 48 hours.

While in Philly, Leonard underwent a physical and met with several coaches and additional staff members.

Leonard had met with head coach Nick Sirianni before Wednesday's noon presser where reporters asked Sirianni about his recruiting pitch.

"All I'll ever do is be honest with him and tell him what the situation is here, what the situation is in this building," Sirianni said. "I think the pitch is just that the guys that we have in this building. Some of them he has a prior relationship to, but I want Shaq to make the decision what's best for him. Because, again, when there's that prior relationship we want to make sure of that. That's what I said to him, 'we want you to make the best decision for you.' Take all of the information from both places and do what's best for you. I've called him a bunch the last couple of days and he'll make the decision that's best for him."

Sirianni crossed paths with Leonard during his three-season stint (2018-2020) in Indianapolis as the Colts' offensive coordinator.

The Eagles were not initially in the market for a linebacker, but with injuries piling up and NFL playoffs on the horizon, they could use a veteran like Leonard.

For now, they'll have to try to get some sleep the next few nights knowing that Leonard could end up in Dallas.
