The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to officially hire Vic Fangio as their next defensive coordinator, which leaves them left with looking for a new offensive coordinator.
According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Eagles have requested to interview Los Angeles Chargers offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.
Moore is allowed to interview with other teams since Jim Harbaugh was hired as the Chargers' head coach on Wednesday and has not confirmed his coaching staff for 2024.
Moore, 35, got his coaching start with the Dallas Cowboys in 2018 as their quarterbacks coach and was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2019.
In four seasons under Moore, the Cowboys ranked second in total offense (391.0 net YPG) and scoring (27.7 PPG). Dallas' offense was also the league's fourth-best passing offense (264.4 net YPG) and ranked seventh in the league in rushing offense (126.6 YPG).
Moore helped the Cowboys win two NFC East titles and secure three post-season berths.
With Moore at OC, the Cowboys went 6-8 against the Eagles.
One of Moore's most memorable victories over Philadelphia was in Week 18 of the 2021-22 season when Dallas obliterated the Birds 51-26 to lock in the No. 2 seed in the playoffs.
If the Eagles end up hiring their former nemesis, he'll be able to offer insider knowledge on how to beat the Cowboys.
Moore will also interview with the Cleveland Browns.
