Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni appears to be staying in the City of Brotherly Love.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Sirianni made his first coaching shake-up of the offseason and fired defensive coordinate Sean Desai on Sunday.
It was a smart move by Sirianni as the Eagles' defense looked pathetic this season, surrendering the third-most points per game (25.2) and the seventh-most yards per game (356.1).
Sirianni's next and obvious decision should be to move on from defensive assistant Matt Patricia, who took over Desai's play-calling duties after the team dropped back-to-back contests.
Under Patricia, the Eagles' defense only looked worse. They went 1-4, losing to two of the worst-ranked teams in the league, the Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants.
They also lost tragically, 32-9, to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of playoffs.
If Desai is out, Patricia needs to be next.
