Philadelphia Eagles' 2024 first-round pick Quinyon Mitchell might be quiet, but he isn't afraid to call it how he sees it.

The rookie cornerback has been teammates with Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown for one month and is already calling him out for his "trash" routes.

"Q doesn't talk as much. He doesn't really say anything. And, the first words I heard from him was like, 'That route was trash,'" Brown told reporters during Wednesday's mandatory minicamp. "I said, 'What? You don't even talk, and you're talking trash?' It was funny to hear from him."

While Brown appreciates the criticism coming from the young rookie, he had some wise words for Mitchell.

"I like to see that. I told him, 'Alright, I want to see you step up.' Because he's not going to be playing against me," Brown said. "He's going to be playing against other guys and I want to see him hold his own. I told him, 'Alright, you took the first step. Now you got to back it up. You got to walk that walk.' And I've been telling him I've been looking forward to getting comes reps against him."

For most of the offseason, Mitchell has been working with the second-team defense, but on Wednesday, he took reps with the first-team.

According to NBC Sports' Dave Zangaro, Mitchell held his own against the first-team offense. His confidence may have gotten the best of him speaking toward a veteran like that, but at least he's backing it up — for now.

Isaiah Rodgers has been the one taking a majority of the first-team reps opposite of Darius Slay, though Mitchell is expected to step into the starting role come Week 1.

That's, of course, if he can continue to "walk the walk."
