The Philadelphia Eagles released their first unofficial depth chart ahead of their Week 1 matchup against the New England Patriots.

While it's obviously not the "real" depth chart, it still raises some questions.

Eagles Week 1 unofficial depth chart

What Stood Out in Eagles' 1st Unofficial Depth Chart

  • For starters, the Eagles haven't named a starting running back yet and it sounds like they are not in any hurry to do so.
  • "We'll see how it plays out. I can say it's by the committee and then somebody gets hot and we stick with them," Eagles' head coach Nick Sirianni told reporters on Tuesday, Sept. 5. "We'll see how it plays out. But what I love is the depth in that room and the capabilities of the guys in that room."The good news is that you can't really go wrong in a backfield full of talent.
  • Siriani noted that the same also goes for the starting safety job alongside Reed Blankenship and starting linebacker next to Nakobe Dean. Terrell Edmunds and Justin Evans will continue to battle it out at safety while Zach Cunningham and Christian Elliss work to fight for the WILL linebacker spot.
  • Something else that stood out is that the Eagles listed four tight ends, with the newest addition being Albert Okwuegbunam. Will this change by Sunday or will the Eagles play around with some 12 personnel?
  • Olamide Zaccheaus has been listed as the primary punt returner and Quez Watkins will back him up.
  • Lastly, the Eagles still don’t have a punter or a holder. They may decide to just elevate Arryn Siposs from the practice squad, but a brand new and reliable face at punter would be nice.

Despite wondering who will be the Eagles' punter come Sunday, there really isn't much to be concerned about with an offense and defense stacked with weapons.
