Philadelphia Eagles' rookie defensive tackle Jalen Carter put on another impressive performance in Sunday's 23-14 win over the Los Angeles Rams.

Carter, a Georgia product who was up against another former Dawg in Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, finished the day with three tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks, and two QB hits.

The Birds had a long flight from Philly to LA, which Carter said he took advantage of and studied Rams' film in order to see "how quickly Stafford got the ball out and having the mindset that he wanted to be even quicker with his pass rush."

The extra studying paid off for Carter.

The Eagles' 2023 first-round draft pick has looked like a beast through his first five NFL games, racking up 11 combined tackles, four QB hits, 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and 25 pressures.

But the crazy part about those stats is that prior to Week 5, Carter had been playing less than 50 percent of the Eagles' defensive snaps. With veteran defensive tackle Fletcher Cox ruled out due to a back injury against the Rams, Carter ended up playing 70 percent of the snaps.

Depending on how long Cox is out we could see even more from Carter. However, head coach Nick Sirianni made it clear last week that he won't be using him on more than 50 percent of snaps unless he has to because it's a long season.
