The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Tuesday that they have placed starting linebacker Nakobe Dean on injured reserve with a foot injury.
In response, the team signed linebacker Nicholas Morrow to the active roster and linebacker Rashaan Evans to the practice squad.
Dean, who left Week 1's victory over the New England Patriots early, will miss at least at least four games before he can return from IR.
Morrow, an undrafted free agent in 2017, spent the preseason battling for a spot on the 53-man roster before ultimately losing to Christian Elliss and Zach Cunnigham. A week after roster cut day, the Eagles re-signed him to the practice squad. Morrow led the Chicago Bears in tackles last season with 116.
Evans, who was a first-round pick by the Tennessee Titans in 2018, spent last season with the Atlanta Falcons. He led the Falcons in tackles with a career-high 159 in 2022.
