The Philadelphia Eagles have added a veteran weapon to their roster by signing wide receiver Julio Jones to a one-year deal, the team announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The move comes after the team placed wide receiver Quez Watkins on injured reserve with a hamstring injury over the weekend.

Jones, a former sixth-overall pick by the Atlanta Falcons in 2011, spent 10 years with the Dirty Birds where he developed into a star receiver before being traded to the Tennessee Titans in 2021.

Following a disappointing season in Tennessee, the Titans released him and he was picked by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022 where he logged 24 catches for 299 yards with two touchdowns through 10 games.

While 34-year-old Jones may no longer be in his prime, he still offers a solid veteran presence to a young receiver room with 12 NFL seasons under his belt.

In addition to Jones' exceptional experience, it's worth noting that his 13,629 career receiving yards are still the most of any current active NFL player

The two-time All-Pro and seven-time Pro Bowler now reunites with his former Titans teammate and fellow wideout, A.J. Brown, in Philadelphia.
