The Philadelphia Eagles have recently caught the attention of some more national media on a recent power rankings list.

Just to start, I don't know of any media member or national media group that had the Eagles as the best team in the league, at any point of the season. Of course, the people who follow the team know. We knew that this being a playoff team last year, then getting better over the offseason would put them at one of the league's best.

As I said, a team that already, made the playoffs last season, then you add some huge pieces in the offseason. They added Haason Reddick, who has been one of the best edge rushers this year, and one of the best the last two years with over 20 sacks in 2020 and 2021.

Then they add A.J. Brown, who in my opinion, was a top-10 receiver in the league. They add pieces on the offensive line and get Jalen Hurts after his first full season in 2021, and now they are contenders. Some national media outlets are finally showing them the respect they deserve.

Their play on Sunday Night Football earned them the top spot on a power rankings list.

NBC Sports Pro Football Talk did their weekly power rankings list and had the Eagles at number one over the Buffalo Bills at number two, and the Kansas City Chiefs at number three. This is what Mike Florio had to say about the Eagles.

"It’s hard to find that first potential 'L' for the best team in the league."

And, I completely agree, as their schedule is very beneficial for their cinderella season so far. I was, however, surprised to see the Eagles at the top spot, and really only for one reason.

The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs played each other this last Sunday and as you may know, the bills came out on top. So, with the number two team beating the number three team on the road, you would think they would give that team the number one spot.

However, the Eagle looked so dominant at times against a good Dallas Cowboys team on Sunday Night Football. They are finding ways to win football games and are doing it in different ways than one, which is giving them the attention of the national media.
