The anticipation is over.
Philadelphia Eagles beloved center Jason Kelce is hanging up the cleats after a Hall of Fame career.
Kelce teased his retirement decision on Monday morning, posting on Twitter/X, "No Keg videos this year, I have come to a decision."
He followed up his post with a 1 p.m. ET press conference where he officially revealed his retirement decision.
Kelce, 36, was initially drafted out of Cincinnati by the Eagles in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
He was a consistent and reliable bright spot for the Birds ever since, starting in all 193 games of his 13-year NFL career, while earning six first-team All-Pro nods and seven Pro Bowls.
Kelce proved that he had plenty of juice left in him in 2023 as he did not miss a game and allowed one sack and 12 total pressures. But ultimately, this game is one you need to be all-in on if you want to play it at the highest level.
Now it’s time for him to enjoy some much-deserved time off.
