It is not going to be a "Super Bowl LVII rematch" on Monday night when the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Eagles' center Jason Kelce, anyway.

Kelce won't be looking for redemption, instead, he will be treating the game just like any ol' regular-season matchup — and for good reason.

"Nothing that happens on Monday night is going to change what happened last year," Kelce told reports on Thursday.

He's not wrong. If the Eagles win on Monday night, there won't be any confetti. There won't be a ring. There won't be a Lombardi trophy ceremony and there won't be the Super Bowl champion title.

But that doesn't mean the Eagles won't be using February's devastating loss to the Chiefs in order to prepare for facing them again.

According to Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni, the team has indeed watched that tape again.

"No matter what game you're playing, you always are gonna go back and look at the film of the last time you played that team, that coach and in many cases, you're gonna go back and look at maybe the last couple times that you've played them," Siranni said during Thursday's press conference. "And so that was obviously the last game of last year…that tape has been helpful to be able to look at it and we understand that it's probably helpful for them to look at that as well."

However, it's not the only tape they're focused on.

"There's a lot of things that we study," Sirianni said. "We're not just studying the first eight games, we're studying multiple years' worth of things."

This game is also not going to receive any special preparation or motivation from Sirianni and his staff.

"You can turn any week in the NFL into, 'I'm gonna get up for this one right here,'" Sirianni said with a tough guy impersonation. "It's mentally challenging and you have to be mentally tough to get up for every game the same every single week. And we try to pride ourselves on being mentally tough"

The Eagles are going to treat Monday's game just like they have been treating the others over the last nine weeks, which has worked 8 of the 9 times.
