The Philadelphia Eagles have made a trade with the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks are trading cornerback Ugo Amadi to the Eagles in exchange for wide receiver J.J. Arcega-Whiteside.

Arcega-Whiteside was a second-round pick by the Eagles in 2019, but he never became a prominent player in the offense. Amadi is a veteran CB with a sizable amount of starting experience.

Amadi had requested his release from Seattle, but they found a deal for him instead. Arcega-Whiteside struggled with Philadelphia, and the young WR only had 16 receptions in three seasons with the team. He will look to have a fresh start in Seattle bend D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

As for the new Eagles CB, he will step into a depth role.

If Amadi can lock down a roster spot, expect to see him mostly as a slot cornerback for the Eagles.
