It's fairly commonplace to hear criticism of Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Matt Canada.

An offense typically devoid of explosive plays and credible scheme, Canada tends to be a punching bag for the Steelers' struggles amongst both fans and media.

But following a couple of recent wins that saw some big plays, one analyst is suddenly changing his tune:

"Way More Creativity"

"Way more creativity with the formations, way more creativity with how they utilized pass concepts, there wasn’t as many repeat pass concepts, ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky told the Pat McAfee Show on Monday. Number two, Kenny was significantly better with his eye discipline. Significantly better.”

I tend to agree with Orlvosky, as I thought Canada got away from some of the gimmicks that he often gets clowned for, placing an emphasis on sound protection plans and shot plays off play action:

Orlovsky like many others has been critical of Canada in the past, but if you're being objective, (as all film-watching should be) you can't help but notice improvements over the last two weeks.

Steelers fans just hope the offense's baby steps turn into a full sprint as the season goes on.
